You’ve been asked that question. I enjoy listening to and performing music. In addition to the radio, I also play:

  • accordion
  • acoustic guitar (1987 Takamini cut-a-way)
  • electric bass (1973 Fender Precision)
  • harmonica (Hohners in key of A,C,D,E,F,G)
  • keyboard (1924 Heinzman & Co. piano, 1988 Roland U-20 synth)
  • organ (grew up on a Yamaha B-12-1R)

I have been a member of a few music groups. We have played in prisons, schools, conference centres and shopping malls. Groups include:

  • Firm Foundation” with Eric, Dave and Murray in Brampton. I played bass guitar and acoustic guitar.
  • “Apocalypse” a Toronto based contemporary Christian Music band.
  • His Band” and “Bob Unger’s Band” when I lived in Thunder Bay. I played bass guitar.
  • I’ve also organized and performed in coffee houses and variety nights in Thunder Bay, Kingston and Erin,Ontario.
  • I usually play bass or keyboard for the worship teams I have been on in Brampton, Thunder Bay and Erin, Ontario.

My Faith Perspective

Written By: David - Dec• 28•09

I chose to become a Christian when I was 17 years old. I am a Christian who believes that Jesus Christ has forgiven me for my sins, died and rose again and lives today. Here is my statement of faith:
a) I believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, Jesus the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

b) I believe that men and women were created in the image of God; that all sinned, and thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also spiritual death and separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and that all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ are justified on the merit of HIS shed blood.

c) I believe that Jesus is the Son of God yet equal to God. Jesus is God. I believe He was born of a Virgin; lived a sinless life; that He died on the cross as a sacrifice for all of humankind’s sin; that He rose from the dead; that He ascended to Heaven where He intercedes on our behalf as our High Priest; and that He will come again to establish His Kingdom.

d) I believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible and inerrant Word of God and believe that the Bible is the supreme authority in all matters.

e) I believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the saved and the endless lake of fire for the unsaved. (Revelation 20:10, 14-15)

f) I believe in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration in His present ministry by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

g) I believe that without the salvation given through the death of Jesus Christ, there is no entrance or alternative ways to heaven.
